Plain terms for a plain product. These are a summary of how we work. A signed agreement is issued before any project starts and that agreement is what governs the work.

What the build fee covers

£999, one payment. Design, copy, build, launch and the first thirty days of maintenance. It includes two rounds of changes on copy and imagery. It does not include a change to the agreed structure or layout after design confirmation, which is a further round and is quoted before any work starts.

What a round of changes is

One consolidated set of changes to the words and the pictures, sent to us together. Two of those are included. A round is closed when you confirm in writing. We will always tell you before a request becomes a third round rather than after.

Maintenance

For thirty days after launch maintenance is included: small changes, copy changes and image resizing, within reason. After that the same continues at £99 per month, along with hosting, SSL, domain management, security and code updates, uptime monitoring and backups. It is not a rental. It can be cancelled at any time with one month's notice.

"Within reason" means edits to what is already there. A new page, a new section, a rebuild or a change of direction is new work and is quoted before anything starts.

Who owns what

You do. From launch, the domain, the source code, the copy and any imagery you supplied or paid for are yours. If the monthly care ends, the site remains yours to keep and to move to another host or provider and we hand over the site files.

Before you buy

The homepage design we show you before purchase is shown for the purpose of the enquiry. It stays our work until the build is paid for. Design files, source code and assets are handed over on payment, not before.

How the work runs

We design and build your homepage first. We then go through it with you. Once it is approved and the build is paid for, the rest of the site is completed within fifteen working days, provided the access in the next section is in place.

What we need from you

For us to build the site and then maintain it, the following need to exist and we need access to them: the domain, the business email, the social accounts, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and the Google Business Profile. Where access is not granted we can still build a website but we cannot maintain it and the fifteen working day period does not begin until the access we have asked for is in place.

Projects stall on inputs, not on build time. If a project is stalled on your side for more than ninety days we may close it and restart it later.

What we will not do

Publish a claim we cannot evidence, copy another business's words or images, or launch a site that fails our own accessibility and performance checks.
